Here’s a comprehensive yet concise checklist for Tesla delivery day to ensure everything is in order before you drive off:
Exterior Checks
- Inspect paint for scratches, chips, dents, or swirl marks
- Check panel alignment and gaps (doors, trunk, frunk)
- Verify all doors, trunk, and frunk open/close smoothly
- Look for windshield/window cracks or chips
- Inspect wheels and tires for damage or wear
- Check all lights (headlights, brake lights, indicators)
- Ensure all badges (Model Y, Dual Motor, etc.) are properly placed
Interior Checks
- Inspect seats, dashboard, and trim for stains, scratches, or defects
- Test all windows, mirrors, and locks
- Ensure seat adjustments (manual/electric) work properly
- Check touchscreen and instrument cluster functionality
- Test A/C, heating, and seat heaters
- Verify speaker sound and connectivity (Bluetooth, USB, etc.)
- Check interior lighting and ambient lights
Software & Features
- Confirm correct VIN matches paperwork and app
